About

Meet Dennis — the wine-country insider who'd rather drive than dress up.

Dennis McClintick

Dennis McClintick started Napa Driving Service in 2016 after watching the same story play out again and again: visitors arriving in wine country excited, and leaving with a DUI or worse. He'd already built a life here — an honorably discharged, disabled U.S. Army veteran who retired at 53 and joined Henry Wine Group to learn the wine business from the inside.

Fifty years in the valley later, those relationships are the whole point. Winery owners, winemakers, chefs who don't take walk-ins — Dennis's phone gets answered. That access, delivered as a driving service, is the one thing no algorithm can replicate.

He'd worked briefly for a big corporate driving company and found it stiff, expensive, and totally out of step with how people actually enjoy Napa. So he built the opposite. No chauffeur costume — the suit's in the closet, pulled out only for weddings and The French Laundry. Competitive rates. And a voice on the phone that sounds like a friend who happens to know everyone in the valley.

Wine Country Casual: sharp but never stuffy.

Today, Dennis runs a small team of drivers guests actually name in their reviews — Jeanette, Laurence, Marshall — because they show up as themselves and treat every trip like it's their own friends in the back seat.

Come see wine country the way locals do.
